Monet Flowers at Mitchell

Students (2/3graders) are learning about the life and art of Monet. Students learned about his love of painting outdoors and that many of his works included images of flowers. Students are working hard painting papers that soon will be cut and formed into 3d flowers.

General Mitchell's Artists

 After reading “Do You Have a Hat” by Eileen Spinelli the 1^stand 2^nd grade students were inspired to create their own self-portraits with a hat. Students were able to pick any hat they wanted, but needed to add details to the background to help identify the character.
